SIGN: Demand Humanitarian Assistance for Syria

Nearly 12 years of war and aid obstruction have already battered the Syrian health system ⁠– and the critical care that people can access ⁠– in northern Syria. The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Syria and southeast Türkiye earlier this week compounds the health care crisis.

Sign our petition demanding immediate, unhindered humanitarian assistance to all communities affected by the earthquake, wherever and whoever they are. International actors must prioritize hard-to-reach regions of the country like northwest Syria which has been cut off from the outside world except for the lone international aid checkpoint with Türkiye at Bab-al-Hawa. It is clear that a new mechanism to reach people in need in northwest Syria needs to be urgently implemented.
