Tell the UN: Document Russian War Crimes

Russian forces have a history of violating the Geneva Conventions by targeting health care workers and facilities, as well as other civilian or humanitarian infrastructure. And they will Add your name to our petition demanding that the UN’s Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine meticulously gather, preserve, and document all evidence of Russian war crimes in Ukraine – and ultimately empower the international community to hold Russian forces to account.

UN’s Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine

Dear Members of the Commission,

In Syria and Chechnya, we have seen Russian forces commit the war crimes of targeting health care workers and facilities. Because they suffered no consequences for these past crimes, Russian forces are now applying these same tactics in Ukraine.

We are counting on you to gather all vital evidence of Russian forces’ brazen attacks on health care workers and facilities, among other civilian and humanitarian infrastructure, in order to empower the international community to hold the perpetrators accountable, so that these crimes are never committed again – by Russia or any warring nation. Rigorous investigation and documentation of these kinds of attacks can and will be critical for international justice mechanisms to hold perpetrators accountable and push back against the lies and propaganda spread by Russian officials.

We must hold Russia to account or we will continue to see these criminal tactics used in future wars. Please act swiftly and forcefully to gather, preserve, and document all evidence of Russian war crimes.
